unu.AiN, AliGon, GEDUKT and volgare remain in contention for two spots at ASUS ROG Winter, with the qualifier set to continue tomorrow at 14:00 . The 128 team tournament began at 14:00 , and after four rounds of play, the last of them best-of-three, just four teams remain in the ASUS ROG Winter qualifier. Due to the huge number of participating teams, the entire qualifier was played out using random seeding, which led to some known teams meeting early on in single elimination. List of teams knocked out on Saturday include Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi's Orbit, new Norwegian LGB, Swedish FlipSid3, and Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä's [v]. The qualifier now shifts to a double elimination format, with the two matches that teams qualify for ASUS ROG in played using best-of-three format. Schedule is as follows: We will provide hot matches for all remaining games, as well as statistics later on. Grand final will not be played out; instead, the upper bracket winner will receive higher seeding. HLTV.org will be traveling to Helsinki Exhibition Centre on January 30-31 to provide full coverage of the tournament, including statistics, interviews, galleries, and more.
